Although this cartoon is comical it is apparently the way our society is headed. We want church, our realtionships, our jobs, and God to be fulfilling, but we don't want it to put any time or effort into it. We want to know more about God, but do not read His word. We want a life of peace, but fill our lives with distractions. We want children who will obey and be active citizens in the community, but we are too busy to spend time with them. We want war to stop, but do not take the time to get along with our neighbor. We want the end of poverty, but waste money trying to keep up with the Joneses. Something has to change!

It would seem we have forgotten who exactly gave His Son to die for us. We have no rights to demand or even have preferences. We are about God--loving Him, learning Him, living Him and leading others to Him. Ourlives are to be pleasing to Him. As we become more like Him we will find the same things that please Him, are also pleasing to us. Wouldn't that be cool?
