Don't Give Up

2 Chronicles 16:9 (NLT)
" The eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him..."

Have you ever been tired? I mean so tired that all you really want to do is sleep all day. This does not happen to me all the time, but when it does I want to be left alone so that I can recover.

Have you ever been so busy for the Kingdom that you felt that you needed a break from it all? Could you imagine a week without "church" responsibilities? Could you use a month where you could just be served and not serve at all? Many people that fill the pews of churches never have the opportunity to get a break because they are so dedicated to the work that is going on. Some churches are so small that getting a break from teaching a class, visiting the sick, or doing studies with non-believers never comes around because they are lacking in the workforce.

I have often wondered where people get the strength to do all the good work that they do.
The book of Chronicles tells us that God is out searching for those in His Kingdom who are dedicated to His work. His purpose is to strengthen and encourage them so that they will not grow weary.

To all of you out there who are considering cutting back on the work you are doing or even considering giving up I encourage you to wait on God. God knows how much you are doing and knows the sacrifice you are making. His eyes are on you and He will not let you run out of steam. Even though you may not receive any encouragement from those you minister to, God is a great rewarder of those who serve Him. Put your hope and trust in Him and He will not fail you.
